Julie Soroko: Badass to Belter, How Broadway hijacked my taste in music with Musical Director, Elizabeth Doyle.
Julie grew up only listening to the best. Carol King, Jim Croce, and Fleetwood Mac were among her earliest introductions to cool music. By age eleven she preferred the grungy rock of Smashing Pumpkins and Bush over the annoying dance moves of N’Sync. Yet, by her teen years, show tunes ruled her world and only the cheesiest, dorkiest songs spoke to her soul. What caused this radical change? Join her in the struggle to find a balance between the best and the most uncool music that influenced her.
Elizabeth Doyle will accompany the songs of Frank Wildhorn, Fleetwood Mac, Fiona Apple, Jim Croce, Rodgers and Hammerstein and more!
