Sarah Wasserman- “It all comes full circle”

“It all comes full circle” is a night of jazz exploring the cyclical pattern of relationships featuring songs by Gershwin, Porter, Ellington, and Coward. To me, jazz songs are some of the best expressions of two opposite emotions, love and heartbreak. This set follows a woman who has a crush that turns into love, but things don’t end happily ever after for this one. You’ll see this character go through denial, depression, numbness, and acceptance. In the end, she sifts through her feelings and realizes it’s all was worth it if she can feel love again.

Whatever part of the cycle you may be in, I feel like there is something here for everyone, please join my fantastic pianist, Thomas Ballew, and I as we musically express this cycle through song and improvisation.
